Focal Seizure with Impaired Awareness
Also known as Focal Dyscognitive Seizures
Duration: 1 to 2 minutes
Area: Part of the brain, it varies.
Are often preceded by an “aura”
Symptoms:
- Appear dazed and confused
- Display random walking, mumbling, head turning, lip smacking or pulling at clothing
Afterwards:
- Person often cannot recall these repeated motions
- There may be some change in consciousness or memory
- May feel tired, have a headache or feel nausea afterwards
