Focal Seizure with Retained Awareness

Duration: 30 to 60 seconds
Area: Part of the brain, it varies.
Symptoms

  • Usually the person will not lose consciousness
  • Sudden or restless movements
  • The person having the seizure experiences strange or unusual sensations, such as odours, visual abnormalities, or hearing distortions, overwhelming feelings of fear or joy, or stomach discomfort and dizziness. These sensations may be described as an “aura” or a warning

Afterwards
May be followed by another type of seizure
